Rising fuel costs, rumors of a national recession like nothing we’ve seen since the Great Depression floating through the media, rising inflation, oil topping $140 a barrel, an apparently never ending war in Iraq tapping our Federal resources, looming political troubles in Iran, a dwindling economic outlook, tenuous stock and financial markets, a weakening housing and real estate sector, government and immigration issues, the rising costs of groceries, and a dollar that keeps losing ground to the euro each and every day – what are we, the average consumer, to do?
